CSNS EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
The Board and officers of Central States are committed to increasing the number
and quality of educational programs it offers to coin clubs and members. The
programs listed below are representative of this effort. We are pleased to make all
of these programs available to your club, your members and members of CSNS.

SEMINARS
Since 2006, Central States has conducted at least two seminars per year.
These educational programs feature some of the best experts in their fields and cover a wide range
of topics. In October 2010 CSNS has scheduled "The Kansas Numismatic Seminar" - see

SPEAKER PROGRAM
CSNS member clubs can schedule well-known speakers for club meetings with
Central States paying for the speaker's expenses up to $200.00. One speaker per club, per year will be available.
DVD PROGRAM
CSNS member clubs can receive up to five Dvd's at no cost. these
videos were produced by David Lisot and feature presentations by top speakers
at ANA,, FUN and Central States Conventions. they will make great club programs.
REVISED LIBRARY BOOK PROGRAM
CSNS member clubs that purchase and donate $100 worth of numismatic books/publications to local libraries (public or school)
will qualify for an additional $500 from Central States to purchase more books for libraries.
2011 ANA Summer Scholarship Program
CSNS offers its members two scholarships each year to the American Numismatic Association's Summer Seminar in
Colorado Springs, Colorado. The scholarships, available to both adults and juniors, are awarded on the basis of an individual's
numismatic activities.
The YN Scholarship is for students under the age of 18. The Summer Seminar is a week-long series of educational lectures held each year at the
ANA headquarters and the Campus of Colorado College.
Award includes tuition, room and board, as well as coach airfare from the airport nearest the awardee's place of legal residence.
The approximate value of the award is $1400.
Applicants should apply by letter and will be judged primarily on the basis of past contributions to organized numismatics.
Examples of activities considered to enhance an application include service as a local, regional, or national numismatic officer, publication of
numismatically related articles; a history of exhibiting at coin shows and other numismatic exhibitions; as well as service on the staff of local,
regional, or national coin shows or numismatic conventions.
Applications should be submitted prior to August 1, 2010.
